This app is the best specialty for me because I have severe autism I can't talk and I can only texts
I LOVE IT! Was 1* NOW 5* UPDT: 3/20/22 I WAS GONNA ASK DEV HOW TO INSTALL MULTI COPIES OF S.A. "ALONGSIDE" EACH OTHER ALA WINDOWS, BUT THE NEW "PROFILE" FUNCTION DOES THIS FOR ME! BRILLIANT! (OLDER) I DO WISH ARROW KEYS COULD MOVE FWD/ BACKWARD THRU TEXT I TYPE. [I CALL IT MAIN "QUICK COMPOSE"AREA] Note: 1/20/21 I GOT A WORKAROUND, USE THE + SYMBOL TO EDIT OR SAVE NEW PHRASE, AND VOILA ALL KB KEYS WORK! I USE A B.T. EXT. KB . * Plz make "play" button a dbl duty "play/pause" button
This app is perfect. You can edit categories, you can switch off direct talk, so you can construct phrases. You can edit every button and every category, this is fantastic, and most importantly, this is all so fast. Other apps I've tried have been slow and buggy with fewer options. I adore this app.
I brought this app today but it's not showing as full version on every device even though I'm using the right account that I purchase the full version.
I've tested out a lot of these over time, and this is by far the best of the bunch for adult users. It is absolutely aimed at adults or teens without learning disabilities - there are no images, unlike most AACs, so if you're looking for an app to help someone who needs images, this is not the one you're looking for. The interface is simple to use, and so easily customisable it's unbelievable. After fighting with so many apps, I was utterly blown away by how simple this is. You can even colour code buttons in an unbelievable number of shades (not every colour imaginable, but a fair amount). And while the free version is limited to the number of phrases you can store, the fee to upgrade is a fraction of what it is for other AAC apps. There is even an option to turn the screen upside-down so that you can tilt it and show someone else what you have typed or selected! This is a great feature for communicating in a noisy environment, or if the other person is D/deaf of hearing impaired. Yes, you only get the option of Google's default voices, but that doesn't matter too much to me, and it keeps the licencing costs down. The only "downside" I have found is that, unlike other AACs, "Yes" and "No" are not automatically available on every screen. But it's so easy to customise, if a bit time consuming to add them to every category - especially if you're colour coding, that it's barely a downside at all. What a find!
Easy to operate and convenient
This is good for me as I had throat cancer and lost my power of speech and have to eat via a tube in my gut. I bought the phone version on android but would like to use it on my Ipad which I have to take with me to keep checks on my health. Do I have to buy the ios version as well. If not how do I download it without having to pay again.
This has been a lifesaver since I lost my voice. THANK YOU
Really nice and simple to use, and very straightforward. Finally a reasonably priced AAC app!
